NEStore, an innovative cleantech solution, was adopted by Huub van der Berg in Broek op Langedijk, Netherlands. As a house owner with overcapacity in photovoltaic (PV) production, van der Berg sought a method to optimize his solar power use and reduce dependency on the grid. Implemented within his home, NEStore enables the generation of 90% of domestic hot water from solar power. This substantial reduction in grid dependency allowed Huub to downsize his grid connection, resulting in significant cost savings.
Successfully implemented measures that achieved a 20% reduction in natural gas consumption, resulting in annual savings of 400 m³. This initiative not only lowered energy usage but also contributed to significant cost and environmental benefits.
The NEStore is an innovative heat battery with very high insulation and a large storage capacity, allowing energy storage for several days. Users can store energy at the most sustainable and cost-effective times and use it when needed. As a plug-and-play product, NEStore is ideal for homes or buildings with solar panels and can be combined with heat pumps and gas boilers. It enhances energy independence by utilizing dynamic tariffs and solar panels.
